Usually don’t reach for Bordeaux when thinking rosé but this was actually really nice. Even 2021 drinking nicely now. — 2 years ago

Nutty, brioche. Nose prominent for nutty flavor too. — 3 months ago
It’s Lassalle—2 S. Ever since a 96 Angeline stunned me a few years ago, I’ve followed this house, even visited the female-run Champagne house. Great wines up and down the range but this is my favorite. 08 is also quite good. This is my first 12—lovely wine that is also a great value for upper end champagne. Needs a few years but already very refined and integrated, orange and lemon zest, gentle mousse, some minerality. Nice stuff. — 3 years ago
Gounel Lassalle - 29 Parcelles (rosé). All Meunier, 13% red wine blended. 2018 — 4 years ago

Whoa! This is great! And it’s quite a value, too! This is better than some Bordeauxs that cost ten times what this costs. I don’t know how well it will hold up in 10 to 20 more years, but it’s very drinkable now.
Wet, cobblestones and wet leather on the nose. A hint of cassis on the front of the tongue. Medium tannic structure. Flinty high notes on the mid palate and on the finish. No low notes to balance out the high, but otherwise I’m happy with this wine. I’m giving it a 9.5 because it’s my ideal of what a Bordeaux should be. — 3 months ago
