Popped and poured at a backyard gathering. Perfect setting for it too! The vines for this wine are technically classified as Bandol. A near 50/50 split of Cinsault and Mourvedre but there’s a little bit of Grenache and Carignan for good measure. The wine pours pretty pink salmon color, with medium viscosity. Medium intensity. On the nose, strawberry, watermelon, purple flowers, and crushed gravel. On the palate, watermelon, strawberry and minerals. Medium acid; low tannin. The finish is long. Perhaps lacking juuuuust a little of its bigger brother’s “oompf” but it’s undeniably good. I would say great value but the Bandol designated wine is just $10 or so dollars more…and that’s a stunner. — 4 years ago
Enough complexity, enough acidities, enough body, great harmony, 99,99% pure and absolutely no hint of superficiality. Cleaner than Pradeaux or Gaussen and earthier than Pibarnon and Tempier. Tastes exactly right. — 6 years ago
Tannins. Needs years. — 3 months ago
Ein Rosé mit Tiefgang! Leichte tannine spürbar, schöne konzentrierte frucht nach erdbeeren und etwas kirsche, kräuter, hagenbutten, langer abgang. Wow! — 4 months ago
Popped and poured at La Buvette. Dark garnet with an opaque core. No visual signs of age. Consumed over three hours. Initially reticent but after about 30min, it started to show off. On the nose, dark cherries and cocoa. On the palate, dark chocolate cherry cordial, espresso and baking spices. Tannins built up over time and there’s fantastic acidity. Lovely stuff and seems built for the long haul. A super Bandol on the heels of Tempier and Pradeaux. — 5 years ago

Garnet hue. Aromas and flavors of tropical fruit and "fruit punch", including cherry, orange, and strawberry. (Reminiscent of Hawaiian Punch.) Bright acidity, light body, with a crisp mineral finish. The clean palate does not seem to match the fantastic bouquet on the nose, but the nose itself almost seems worth it. 100% Mourvedre. — 18 days ago
