Chante - Alouette Hermitage Blanc Marsanne 2019

I can’t get over this wine! The first word that comes to mind is luscious!! Ripe peaches and pear, smoke, pineapple, chamomile, tree bark and limestone. I need a case and now I can’t find it - should’ve bought more!!! — a month ago

Drinking really lovely right now. Merlot doesn’t get enough love from pop wine media. And so so clean - how does 2010 Bordeaux drinking in 2024 not have a trace of Brett? Lovely. — a month ago

Domaine Bruno Clair

Clos St. Jacques Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2008

Technically sound and classic in style, though it doesn’t quite deliver the excitement one might expect from this famed vineyard. On the nose, aromas of red and black fruits, violets, forest floor, earthy tones, subtle spice, and a touch of meaty savoriness. Mid-weight and silky on the palate, with an underlying stoniness. Elegant and admittedly enjoyable, but it honestly doesn’t fully showcase the pedigree of its origin, which aligns with my broader experience of this producer’s wines. — 2 months ago

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2020

Talk about the perfect wine for the meal. We did local heirloom tomatoes, Barata cheese, and it held its own. Fois gras with caramelized onions. It definitely started to shine. She had the seared pork chop with polenta, and I had the duck trio which consisted of duck breast and homemade duck sausage. Not only the wine hold its own and definitely made the night more memorable. You can never separate the food from the wine. — 5 months ago
