Rich cherry and voluptuous blackberry flavors with aromas of dark chocolate all culminate in a smooth finish that leaves you wanting…more. — 4 years ago
Wife and I loved this a bit better than ménage a trois decadence. — 5 years ago
Blueberry pie, decadence unchained. Nice tannins, very clean. Just wonderful. — 5 years ago
Andreas Larsson: and spot on - a wine and a style that can’t be put into any category - this intensity, decadence, perfume, structure and length is simply mind blowing”...“Slightly more red fruit, rose, violet, raspberry, sexy with a meaty spiciness. Very dense palate, finely grained with sweet raspberry, ginger, clove, seamless tannins, intense flavours and a sexy texture and a very long, suave and delicate finish. Excellent. 98pts”
A lucky score @ garagiste. Merci — 6 years ago
The 2014 'Numanthia' Toro is a stunning wine that is already offing wonderful appeal. While it needs a bit of air contact, the wine shows gorgoeus aromas of ripe dark fruits on the nose, particularly dark cherry and roasted dates most dominant. The silky mouthfeel glides through the mid-palate as this shows a distinct dusty character, and notable decadence, with black forest Cake, wild mushrooms, espresso bean and toffee flavors that ad excellent range. Downright delicious now, this great Toro also has the stuffing to cellar well for the next fifteen plus years. Drink 2019-2033- 93 — 7 years ago
Outstanding! Rich and spicy dark fruit balanced by zesty red fruit. Judicious oak and chocolate notes add a decadence to this wine that’s hitting the spot on this cold Asheville night. Wonderful overall harmony here. — 9 years ago
Open knit and seamless. Displays a ripe fruit profile without decadence. A core of laser-focused cherries and brambly fruit combine with rock-solid tannins and nice acidity. Outstanding length and persistence on the finish. Superb effort. — 3 years ago
Total Wine Dec 2021 — 5 years ago
Smoked earth and truffle and seared beef, raspberry and blackberry with graphite and red cherry flex big terroir muscle showing baked poppyseed, roses, burnt rubber and a grain of mint, aromatically. Apocalyptic, ecstatically. Raspberry-cherry reduction with a rich cranberry tart, morel, smoked cherry and red currants, fig and allspice; endlessly transmogrifying into nuanced decadence. Amazing, seductive, bold.

This is a novel wine. It’s Red Muscat that is served chilled like a white wine. It is easily one of Italy’s most unique and greatest wines. It has the character of wines in other styles that cost thousands of dollars but because it’s such a freaky grape and made in a freaky style, (11.5% almost like a Kabinett Red Wine) it’s not that expensive. Still it’s great. Truly epic. Like a dessert at a 3 star Michelin that centers around some insane sauce. This is the vinous equivalent of that sauce. The nose is floral to a degree that using floral to describe any other wine is an insult to this wine. It’s minty and smells almost like an apothecary in God’s waiting room. It’s got roses. I mean in your face yet subtle and beautiful roses. There’s also fresh green shrubbery. Like walking into a freshly manicured British aristocrat’s family garden. There’s deep black cherry skins. It’s pungent and potent but also haunting and beautiful. The palate tho! They combo of fresh/sweet/ electric sweetness and a guided decadence. Perfect balance. Insanely pure. Willi Schaefer vibes here. Gorgeous sweet tannins and a deliciousness that is rare in this world. After air the nose has green and oolong tea aromas. Just a mesmerizing nose. Palate and nose are 50/50. This is not a perfect wine but it’s perfect for me. 9.7. — 6 years ago

This app drives me up the wall. Leave your notes for a short while and they are lost…
This producer is at the top of the food chain in Rhône. The wine coats the glass and this shapes your expectations for what is to come. The nose and palate displays decadence and richness, which is just what I remember from the 97 vintage. In my opinion, best enjoyed in its youth. — 4 years ago

I do pen & paper notes then take a picture then send it to google translate. But then all it does is give me a bunch of Opera phrases 🤷🏼♂️Big, ripe nose with a hint of oxidation. Grilled nuts, figs, caramel, sweet burnt orange rind. So fine. White chocolate as well. Palate is juicy and so crisp with rich caramel decadence and sweet caramelized citrus. Long finish and terrific freshness. Outrageous. So opulent and incisive. — 5 years ago
This wine throws parties that go late but not too late full of characters but polite ones and also invites you to dinners with other intellectuals that go late and are rich but get deep and down to life on earth. Which is to say it hints at decadence but is cool with just having like, a real deep conversation on literature. Full of blackberry and cassis fruit but with baking spices and something that says mud delicious mud. Vibing with tannins that aren’t knitted in and a certain element that satisfies but leaves you unsatisfied so you take another sip and it may be on purpose to remind you you are mortal. — 5 years ago

Excellent for a sweet chocolates dessert wine. Adu did not like — 5 years ago
The 2016 Duckhorn ‘Three Palms Vineyard’ is another stellar release by the talented Renee Ary. Aged in 100% new French oak for eighteen months, the Merlot has 6% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Malbec blended in. The nose exudes class with ripe chocolate covered bing cherry and shades of sweet pipe tobacco that mingle with the dusty terroir tones on the nose. The palate is plush, giving an err of decadence. The silky mouthfeel really gives a feel of opulence. Black Forest cake and dark licorice flavors collide with the dusty minerals and cigar box flavors. Simply outstanding in its youth following a one hour decant, this stunning Merlot will cellar well for decades. Drink 2020-2040- 94 — 7 years ago

Slightly deeper more ruby , wide rim but brighter and redder , less garnet than the RSV . Younger looking certainly . Deeper , spicier with darker fruits on the nose , some blackberry , dark cherry , exotic spices , pomegranate tea , violets , quite exuberant and dashing . On the palate this is denser and richer , deeper more velvety fruits , dark cherry , blackberry , spice and rounded but noticeable tannin . Balanced acidity. Quite gritty finish, darker and richer , long suave dark fruit finish . Really quite primary still, though with more time this does show some more wet slate and mineral side. This grows in the glass becoming more expressive and complex , showing something new each time you come back to the glass . Enjoyable due to the richness of fruit , but probably deserves more time , very promising however , the richness and decadence of 2009 seems to suit Richebourg . Better in 5 years and will last well a further decade if not more . — 2 months ago
