Nose: lovely strawberry and minerals. Floral. Great.
Palate: perfect early season strawberries. Crunchy minerals. Delicious. Terrific. — 3 months ago
Delicious. Took quite a while to open up, but was beautiful when did. — 4 months ago
Delicate nose met with a medium to almost full body smack of delight on your taste buds. Hints of lemon zest give way to melon. Served chilled on this Mother’s Day. — 3 days ago

Excellent Chardonnay! Mature and great balance with chewy texture and long finish. — 5 months ago
In a nice place at shade under 10 years. Popped and poured and was surprisingly ready to go, though 30 mins in the glass helped for sure. Nice mouthfeel and density. Tannins are there but very well integrated. Good dark berry fruit and some pepper on the long finish. Delicious with steak and a pork chop at The Grill. — a month ago
Cherry, violet, hay, a tiny touch of licorice too. This is quite exciting and profound. The palate is showing a massive acid backbone, some width and grip, some cherry notes, but the fruit is a little discreet. There are tannins popping up in the rear, disturbing the mouthfeel, powering up a tangy finish with cherry and a nice bitter note along with a tiny salty touch, almost sea breezesque if that makes sense. This is a serious beaujo, very different from fruit bombs and other crowd-pleasing usual expressions that people tend to rave about. This is gastronomy wine and playing in the same league as some other wines from a different varietal that grow a bit farther to the north. — 4 months ago

That feeling you get when you open a wine that is in just the right spot…
From our perspective, that is where this Bernard Dugat-Py is at right in this very moment. It has a beautiful balance of fresh black cherry, red currant, kirsch, violet, hibiscus tea, and anise next to clove, cardamom, forest floor, peat moss, fig paste, and mushroom notes.
The palate is singing with bright acidity balanced by the expressive aromas and flavors, medium, fine-grained tannins, and medium alcohol (13% ABV). It has a lingering finish. What a beautiful wine!
It is the 2010 Dugat-Py Gevrey-Chambertin “Cuvée Coeur de Roy” Très Vieilles Vignes, coming from very old, organically-farmed, and low-yielding vines, adding to the concentration of aromas and flavors. It comes from the village of Gevrey-Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits. — 10 days ago
