Great flavor. — 9 months ago
Medium ruby in color; cherries, baking spices, and blackberry jam on the nose; medium acidity; medium tannins; tastes like raspberries, strawberry jam, crushed gravel, and a hint of dried herbs with a long finish. Nellie says it's not bad, but I think it's pretty good. — 6 months ago

Enjoying this, though it’s lower tannin than you might find a cab from other CA regions. Blackberry and leather on the nose that moves toward dark chocolate as it opens up. A bit earthy but some dark fruit too. Smooth and velvety, probably not going to age better from here. — 10 months ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. No formal notes. The 2006 “Amber Knolls Vineyard” blows the mind. Yes, I know, it’s made by Schrader but this humble Lake County designation was meant to be enjoyed early while one allowed the more significant Schrader Cabernet Sauvignon’s mature. Yet here we are, thoroughly enjoying this 18 years from vintage. Fruit not only hanging on; dare I say this is still developing? Structure is sound. Drink now through 2030. Very impressive. — a month ago
