Bought in Chablis. Very light but oak-y — 3 years ago
Golden yellow hue. Nose is cool and fresh with flowers, minerals and limeskin. On palate this is a wine that builds towards end. Moderate acidity combined with tingling minerality builds towards the end leaving long after taste of lime, grapefruit, blood orange and bit unripe green apple. Fresh and juicy wine that has more of a subtle tone with a plus that it clocks only 12.5%. Excellent Aligote — 3 years ago
NV. Beautiful, ripe green apple dominated nose. That note explodes on the palate, throwing in some almond, pear and (a garnish of) lime flavors. Laserlike focus. Generally not a Blanc de Blanc fan but this one has me reconsidering bubbly priorities. Fantastic value. — 2 years ago
Crunchy chalk and beautiful acidity — 3 years ago
Black berries. Earth. Floral hint Very nice for the price. Tannin to age. — 3 years ago
Beautiful minerality, crisp ripe fruit (apple, pear, melon) and so easy on the palette. Food friendly and on its own. — 3 years ago

Vintage 2021 | We once visited papa René Noél Legrand in Varrains; he showed modesty and determination as vintner. Clotilde makes a fine Saumur Champigny from ‘Les Liziéres’. No need to cellar long, it is a fine prove what Cabernet Franc can do. Purple reflection in colour and that joyful and vibrant cabfranc smell with raspberries and spicyness, nowhere bell pepper (showing some immaturity) and a supple elegant taste. Paired with a Cantonese dish: tenderloin with mango. Enjoyed this in the garden. — 2 months ago
