Ooh what a great surprise! Proof again that price doesn’t really matter with wine. Only €8, made here in Corfu, and subtly complex. A blend of 3 Greek grapes I didn’t know before: Kakotrygis, Malagouzia and Roditis. Petrol and sherry on the nose, which calms down after some air. Apple, pear and lemon fruits. Dry through and through, soft grip, with an underlying oaky vanilla cognac dimension. I have no idea how this was made, or if it was actually aged in oak, but it feels like it. — 3 months ago
Flint like scent. Water like. Fresh, mineral salty, lemon and green apple. 3 min later, feel rich. Good match with seafood and Japanese seafood food as well. Gentilini Robola of Cephalonia Wild Paths 19 @3700, Academy D JH, 240127-240203 — 10 months ago

Very crisp and light. A perfect summer wine. — 4 months ago
Poured through a Venturi into a decanter prior to service. For a grape that has traditionally been used to make less-than-serious fortified wines, this was quite a serious Mavrodaphne indeed. From ungrafted vines, the 2020 “Mov” pours purple in color. A touch reticent early, this is developing and only beginners to open after about 30min after which it revealed it’s layered red and dark fruits, earth, cocoa, purple flowers, minerals and soft baking spices. Structure was medium+. Balanced and paired well with our beef and grilled eggplant. Only 800 bottles produced. — a year ago
