Well balanced. Good value for money. Acid and mineral. Light fruit. — 4 months ago
We had two bottles and they were both in a really good place. Enjoyed with Beef Bourguignon at Elkstone Ranch in Steamboat Springs. Excellent 7 course farm to table dinner! — 5 months ago
An average Merlot from the region. Leather and cherry. Not complex but fine with Italian food. May 2024. — 8 months ago
Technically sound and classic in style, though it doesn’t quite deliver the excitement one might expect from this famed vineyard. On the nose, aromas of red and black fruits, violets, forest floor, earthy tones, subtle spice, and a touch of meaty savoriness. Mid-weight and silky on the palate, with an underlying stoniness. Elegant and admittedly enjoyable, but it honestly doesn’t fully showcase the pedigree of its origin, which aligns with my broader experience of this producer’s wines. — 2 months ago
Really enjoying the generous, sensual, textured nature of this vintage and top producers really nailed it. — 3 months ago

Let’s explore this 2009 Clos de La Maréchale!
It’s medium ruby with garnet around the rim. The nose is positively perfumed with notes of violet, rose, boysenberry, mulberry, ripe black cherry, kirsch, clove, cedar, vanilla, cardamom, anise, chervil, fennel fronds, leather, crushed stone, forest floor, tobacco, peat moss, and mushroom.
On the palate this wine is dry with medium (+) acidity, a medium body, high alcohol (14% ABV), flavors are concentrated and consistent with the nose. It has a lingering finish.
It’s multifaceted, vibrant, layered and delicious – cheers to exploring the world of wine one sip at a time! — 15 days ago
