Dancing Bear Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2010

Face off of the 2010 Cabernets with FirstLight Steak tenderloin. Dancing Bear comes out the winner with a touch more fruit and depth to it over the Quilceda Creek. Both wines decanted 90 mins. Smooth yet complex. — a month ago

Fattoria di Fèlsina Berardenga

Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2016

Color of grayish purple, quite clear with a bit orange note. Nose is balanced fragrance with dried strawberry, spice, tobacco leaves, cured meat, and more sweet berries. Taste is light, and follows the nose, right amount of acidity and tannins, zest, just a bit sweetness shows her subtlety, more cured meaty note dancing with the berry note. Aftertaste shows backbone of tannins, medium long with savory spice, acidity and sweetness. Pretty good. — 5 years ago

Dancing Flame Ojos del Salado Valle Central Red Blend 2022

A gentle full bodied red with no bitterness and not even very dry imo- pretty neutral. Very much a good table wine with blackberry and cherry overtones and a slight chocolate/ spice finish. Goes very well with dark chocolate — a month ago

Bull by the Horns Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Delicious. Great pick for my first rating. High tannins. Great, but subtle flavor. I find myself tasting over and over but find nothing I dislike about this puppy. 9.4 and it’s not just because Duke is winning. — 2 years ago

L'Intemporelle Grand Cru Brut Champagne Blend 2011

Light amber with a bouquet of stone fruits with citrus notes and yeasty tones. Plenty of bubbles dancing in the flute. Crisp and fresh, mineral, white flesh fruit, citrus well balanced with acidity. Lingering finish with zesty ending. Nice Grand Cru. Tasting Sample. — 4 years ago

Brut Champagne Rosé 2005

Nose of red and green strawberries in chalk, raspberry bush clippings. Palette had vegetal notes with berries dancing through. Really young. Would be even better in a few years. Air helped. Super long and precise finish. Excellent. — 5 years ago
