@Henk schouten Totally fair to disagree, taste is personal. But just to say: I’m not critiquing the correctness. I’m critiquing the effect. There’s a kind of technical polish that can drain the soul out of a wine. Beaumard’s been doing that for years. This bottle’s just another example.
If you rate a 35yo wine with 9.2 how can that be boring
@Henk schouten At a certain point you just realize: the internet is where good faith goes to die. I said the wine was boring. I stand by that. Not flawed. Not bad. Just soulless in a way that technical wines often are. If that offends you, maybe ask why it matters so much.

Solid Cru Beaujolais. Medium garnet color. Bright aromas of ripe red and black cherries, earth and violets. Expressive flavors of red and black cherry/raspberry/currant fruit, tobacco and a pleasant hint of baking spices.
