A lovely tarry note initially amongst the red fruits. On the medium weight palate sweet and savoury red fruits. Love CdP from a good year like this one. 70% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, 10% Cinsault and the remaining 5% split between Muscardin, Counoise and Vaccarese. Completely destemmed and fruit driven. Soft pliant tannins. — 23 days ago
Cute little building on the label. Lovely red, red wine color. Smells like I imagine the warm, dry hills of the Rhône must smell. Hint of red berries. Some chaparral stuff (or garrigue as they call it over the pond). Flavors are classic and very clean. Berry jam, fresh cut herbs, beets, little smoke, black licorice. This is a lovely little bottle of red. Crowd pleasing yet complex. The Paul Simon of wines. — 5 days ago
Mother’s day lunch.
Not a vintage we like but this one is excellent. Dark rubi robe, no signs of aging. Nose of asphalt, cedar, anise and blackcurrant. Very elegant fruit tannin and a bit of wood tannin to shed still, would be better with less. An extracted wine done with lots of wood but balanced and elegant same time. We liked it a lot. Increased the score after the last couple of glasses we got around 8 hours later. — 5 days ago
This is the ideal personification of Vouvray. The nose is alive with green apple, pear, white flowers, lime zest, mineral and chalk. The mouthfeel is dry, focused and vibrant with sharp acidity, a crystalline texture, and layers of citrus and saline notes that linger. Great in its youth with great aging potential. — a month ago
Outstanding still after 13 years. Terrific Rhone profile with complexity and freshness still. — 9 days ago

One of the bottles from my annual WWC hosting. I opened this as a side by side to a 2019 Saxum White as the makeup is fairly similar.
80% roussanne/ remaining a mix of Grenache Blanc, Clairette, piquepoul blanc, picardan and bourboulenc.
Nicely expressive at pop, it then faded and hid in a shell for a few hours before coming back at last glass. At 80% roussanne, I expected a more consistent expressive profile (honeyed tropical fruits, some orange) and for the acid to show a touch, but it was a roller coaster. More melon and light fruits vs bigger/more tropical. Medium bodied but not as rich as expected. It’s clean and shows some floral and mineral/stony nuances, but I’d spend the extra and take the Roussanne VV to get more complexity and flavor. — 18 days ago
