2023 vintage. Light-medium body. Initially pretty nose and flavors without trying-spearmint, raspberry, strawberry. Those impressions remained but dwindled with importance as rhubarb, clove and dark cherry steadily drifted in. A little substrate/carpet of dried earth that gradually gained strength. This is so youthful; a good 2-3 years necessary to even begin to speculate as to the ceiling and direction. 05.18.25. — 2 months ago

Les Fichots Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2022
Another epic Fichots from Girard. Deep deep mid to late season cherry and glorious spice. Wow the fruit in 22 is so aromatically expressive at the moment. Just gorgeous. Stunning palate with deep deep fruit but also those fierce Fichot tannins. Juicy, silky and sweet but structured and epic. Wow the tannins. This needs mega air but this is a monumental Fichots. Tasting today and still a beast but has that absurd 22 fruit. I’d wait a decade at least. — 2 months ago

Medium ruby garnet , garnet rim . This has a spiced , slightly smoky red cherry , raspberry and rose notes , elegant and perfumed. On the palate this is very refined , with sweet red fruits , raspberry , cherry , light touches of sous bois , velvety tannins and bright acidity . Good density and excellent balance , good saline , mineral edged length . This is really open and aromatic , velvety , and so well balanced ,a model of elegance and purity . This just got better and better with more time in the glass . Drinking well now , though still very fruit forward not showing a lot of development, and I would imagine it will continue well over the next 10 years . — 10 days ago
