Zoet en een beetje zuur, drinkt goed weg, donkerfruit. Weinig tanines. Soepele goede wijn. 2020 — 6 months ago
Dark inky in color with a short purple rim. Teeth staining color.
Strong nose of black fruits, dark chocolates, light barnyard, light vanilla, light cedar, licorice and herbs.
Full bodied, big and bold, with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruit forward on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, tobacco, vanilla, licorice, chocolates, herbs, spices, earth and black tea.
Long finish with round tannins and cherries.
This is a very nice Petite Sirah from Horse Haven Hills in Washington State. Probably my first Petite Sirah from this region.
Shows a little differently than a California Petite Sirah. The Syrah's contribution in this blend is very noticed, especially on the nose.
Rich and extracted. Fruit forward and 'in your face' kind of wine. Not for the faint of hearts.
A good quality wine, and a good wine to have with friends. Good by itself as a sipping wine.
A blend of 85% Petite Sirah and 15% Syrah. Aged in (35% new) French oak barrels for 18 months.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

This is a delicious PetS, not too jammy. It has intense blueberry and raspberry flavors, with that distinctive undertone, peculiar to Washington reds, and tastier than it sounds,, of chocolate-covered mushrooms. — 3 months ago
Nice, had with chicken and potatoes from the butcher in Paris. 10€. — 7 months ago
Dark color. Not quite India ink, but deep maroon. Smells like blueberry pudding and heavy cream. Hint of fresh chopped redwood bark. Flavors are dense with a classic petite Sirah inky-ness with blueberry syrup and purple plum compote. This is a big delicious red. Drink with red meats, grilled. Or hard, salty cheeses. — 7 months ago
Hales? This was excellent. Soft, cherries, smooth, some depth and body without being too punchy. Didn't feel a 13.5% ABV. This was delightful and it seems to be very reasonably priced if you can get it. — 4 months ago
Although this wine is always going in and out of style, it is guaranteed to raise a smile. I only wish this bottle was a vintage from 20 years ago today! It is perfectly balanced, medium bodied, with less pepper and more smoothness than the name might suggest. It went well with light Italian cuisine. — 6 months ago

This is a delicious Rhone style white wine from Horse Haven Hills in Washington State.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.
This Single Vineyard feels very much like a Rhone white.
A blend of 55% Roussanne, 30% Marsanne and 15% Viognier.
13.2% alcohol by volume.
