Candied raspberry and a hint of non-acetone nail polish remover on the nose, surprisingly brambley and woody/olive pit upfront given the nose, but nice rich plum and other fruits come through as well. Medium color and body, solid tannins but finish is a bit tannic for me. — 5 months ago
Normally Friday is Pizza and Pinot but tonight we decided to do this Chianti Classico from Borgo Scopeto from the lovely Elisabetta Gnudi. — 2 years ago
Gift from Denise and Jill for dinner in Tucson. Nice medium bodied Tuscan. Cherries on palate. Easy drinking. Nice addition to our Tucson Tamale meal. 😎 — 3 months ago

The name of the estate comes from "Ca' Pazzo", shown on ancient maps. Caparzo is owned by Elisabetta Gnudi Angelini, she also owns Altesino. Deep Ruby with berry fruit aromas with cedar, herbs and smoke, aged for 2 years on oak. On the palate cherry, plum & cranberry flavors, with leather, cacao, spice, herbs and tobacco notes. Lively acidity, fine approachable tannins, long ending with spicy mineral oak finish. — 2 years ago
Great deep red color..like the medium closer to heavy mouthfeel with the acidity..more tightly structured than i expected..great value and great way to introduce someone to sangiovese..also great to bring for dinner party as would pair great with most pasta dishes and meats — 4 months ago
2016. Elisabetta Foradori’s leading teroldego, a grape she has championed from obscurity. Heaven in the mountains. She isn’t called Queen of the Dolomites for nothing. — 2 years ago

Wow...again so so young but already so enjoyable. Amazing balance of fruit and acidity. Still offers amazing QPR. Great wine! — a month ago
