Fratelli Serra

Fratelli Martini

Collezione Marchesini Montepulciano D'Abruzzo

Headline: “damn near perfect” not dry, not bitter, not sweet, not watery, just lovely balance all around. If you’re looking for a defining characteristic it’s that there is none. Some would say the greatest designs goes unnoticed. I would also say that the greatest wines should lay in a similar vein. There is no one flavor or characteristic about it that is overpowering the rest. — 11 days ago

Casal di Serra Vecchie Vigne Classico Superiore Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi 2022

Pale lemon color with aromas of stone fruits and floral scents. On the palate flavors of apple, peach and blossom citrus notes. Medium finish, lively acidity ending with fruit and citrus character. Nice! Organic! — 2 months ago

Marcarini

La Serra Barolo Nebbiolo 1982

The 82 Riserva.
Marcarini is often underrated. Not in the very top tier in Piedmont, but with age I’ve routinely found that the wines exceed expectations. Especially the La Serra bottling. This one is real treat

Cannubi Barolo Nebbiolo 2020

Pale reddish in color with light intensity.

Pretty nose with wild flowers, red cherries, currants, light wood, spices, coffee, earth, wet leaves and herbs.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with raspberries, red currants, cherries, earth, black coffee, light wood, spices, light vegetables and tobacco leaf.

Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a very tasty, yet young, Barolo from the great Cannubi Vineyard. Elegant and robust.

Already drinking very nicely, and will continues to age nicely in the next 15 years.

Tangy and interesting with nice complexity and good balance.

Good by itself as a sipping wine, or with food.

Monvigliero Barolo Nebbiolo 2019

Gonna have a hard time leaving my last three bottles laying down for any period of time. Chicken parm and a truffle oil pasta are a righteous pairing. — a month ago
