Grilled lemon. Cardamom. Pear. Olive brine. Geranium. Aging well. Lots of toast! — 3 years ago
Simple, light, but full of charm. Clear purple dress, beautiful shine. Nose typical of the cabernets-francs de Loire. Raspberry, geranium, violet, blackwood, green pepper (but not too much). The mouth is fresh and tense, with a beautiful mineral weft reminiscent of rifle stone, slate or chalk. Served at 15 degrees, it’s a nice treat.
— 4 years ago
Sunday funday with a little Viognier…
Aromatics and flavors offer pronounced notes of rose, elderflower, geranium alongside wet stone, honey, beeswax, orange peel, tangerine, spiced pear, nutmeg.
The body and mouthfeel are rich and creamy.
As a Vin de Pays — IGP Des Collines Rhodanienne — by Domaine Georges Vernay (winemaker Christine Vernay) it has all of the trappings of a Condrieu at a more affordable price. Cheers! — 2 years ago
So I realize that we’re suppose to have canceled this producer, but in our defense we were offered this wine as consolation when the Bandol we requested was OOS and there were no complaints.
Damn was this wine an epiphany — intensely fragrant with rose petals and geranium on the nose and palate. Ripe nectarines and blood orange with some nebulous savory herbal quality too. A really special wine to pair with a really fabulous birthday girl @Maura Passanisi

Mid to deep crimson in colour. Notes of black olive, geranium, red capsicum (peppers). Very dusty and herbaceous. More savoury than fruit driven. Next one in a year. Definitely the most lavish cellar door in Margaret River and a must visit if you are in the District. Had another bottle 70 weeks later on 11th April 2022 with consistent notes - say 91 points. — 4 years ago
Wow! The value of this... 17 EUR a bottle, delivery to Poland from France included. This is a steal!
A gorgeous nose of cherry, wet soil, geranium, licorice... This is intense. The palate shows perfect balance with a nice and long acid backbone, some width and a great, almost crunchy texture with a soft mouthfeel that turns into a turbulent sea in midpalate, with tannins sharpening a bit and giving it another layer. The finish is fruit forward, almost umami, with that layer of turbulences gently brushing up that bright fruit to make it a truly enjoyable tasting experience. That's why you love cru Beaujolais... — 2 years ago
Dark Ruby red in colour. Red florals - rose petals, hint of geranium, leafy, dusty Bordeaux, cedar, elegant and refined. Way better than my previous two notes. Medium bodied with cassis and a little sweetness but overall impression is restraint and balance. Often it is easy to say refer to earlier notes on Delectable but on this occasion this was a much better tasting experience and what one would expect from such a producer in a good year. Perfect with Roast Beef last Sunday lunch. — 4 years ago
Aromatic with notes of peach, rose, and geranium; smooth acidity; $12 at BGarden. — 4 years ago
See notes from 124 weeks ago still apply. Notes of mulberry, black currant - a little heavy on the oak but not off putting. Geranium, stalky, peppery, and bay leaf. Medium bodied still with good freshness for 12 years old. Fine grained tannins to finish. In the dress circle of Wilyabrup in Margaret River. Will compare with Woodlands 2nd ranked cuvée from 2010 next. — 4 years ago

Holy flower garden! Tastes like rose water meets geranium meets honeysuckle with stone fruit thrown in. I know why they call it May queen. I can imagine this is what fairy dew drop water tastes like. Very good but wow is it floral. — 8 months ago
