Colección Privada Rioja Tempranillo 2018

Made in a small town at foot of Sierra Cantabria in the DO. A single variety Tempranillo from 50 year old vines has a deep Ruby red color and aged for 18 months in French and American oak. Aromas of red fruit and spice. On the palate ripe black fruit, fine tannins, well balanced with a medium+ finish ending with fruit, spice and some oak notes. Nice! — 2 years ago

Mac Forbes

Wesburn Pinot Noir 2016

Light cherry red in colour. Cherry and raspberry together with a jubey confectionery note on the nose and palate. On the palate “bigger” than your normal Yarra Valley Pinot. Winemaking Notes: 10% whole bunch, partially de-stemmed - a portion foot stomped. Open fermenters - matured for 12 months in old oak. Indigenous yeast; No filtration, no fining. — 3 years ago

Enfield Wine Co.

Foot Tread Rosé Blend 2024

By now it should be clear - I am an Enfield fan. Have been for a long time. This foot treated Rosé is no exception. Sourced from a head trailed vineyard at 3000+ feet aka 1000 Meters. Welcome to the new California! 900 bottles made - get it while you can. Striking color. Incredible juice. Sour Haribo gummibears - the red ones. But seriously - Fresh strawberries the ones which actually have a taste, cranberry, raspberry and lime. Oh man what a treat. An “alpine wine”. 13.2%. If the tarifs will kill us this is consolation. — 6 months ago

Château Haut-Segottes

Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

Raspberry, blackberry, currant, big thick mouthfeel, long finish, tannins for days, but put together…you need something big to eat with this one, and luckily I had just the thing-pigs foot stuffed with sweetbread and foie gras — 2 months ago
