Aged 16 Years Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky 1816

This is a great tipple as the weather cools down in the Southern Hemisphere. From Islay with plenty of peat and smokiness. A maritime seaweed note. Some say Laphroaig is even more peaty but for me, the jury is still out on that one. — 13 days ago

Absolutely John. Particularly if you like your Single Malts smoky and peaty which I do.

Garys' Vineyard Pinot Noir 2020

Medium Ruby color with layered aromas of fresh berry fruits with floral and woodsy spice notes. On the palate flavors of strawberry and ripe raspberry with cigar box, oak, black tea, citrus, cola and herb floral notes. Well balanced, savory fine tannins, long finish ending with oaky earthy notes. Nice! — 2 months ago

Las Alturas Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir 2021

‘Las Alturas' Spanish for 'the heights', a fitting name, this vineyard located on one of the highest grape-growing benches in the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA. 4th gen Winemaker Joseph J. Wagner from family with farming & winemaking roots in Napa since 1906. Met Joe several times. Deep Ruby (darkest Pinot I have come across). Nice berry and floral spice aromas. Rich cherry/plum flavors with oak, spice and vanilla. Long finish, bold ending with sweet oak notes. Very Nice! A Fav! — 4 months ago

Rosella's Vineyard Pinot Noir 2017

What an excellent wine and for me a bit different in that the taste outdid the nose as the nose is the big tell for me. Anyway, the nose had some deep red friuits and a bit of cola. The taste was sweet, in a great way, with deep dark fruits and just so enjoyable drinking it. The finish was long and very satisfying. It's the last bottle of Rosella's in my cellar but a Really nice wine with a lot of pears some honey and floral notes throughout. Very enjoyable wine and a great way to go out. — 10 hours ago
