Weir Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021

Bright Ruby color, purple edges, with aromas of ripe fruits, floral and complex spice, vineyard planted in 1991. On the palate concentrated flavors of blueberry, strawberry and cherry with citrus, herbs, vanilla and oak, aged on French oak, soft tannins on well balanced structure. Full body, rich long finish, ending with ripe fruit, vanilla, floral and oaky tones. Very Nice! Will age a bit! — 9 days ago

Garys' Vineyard Pinot Noir 2022

Delectable Wine
9.6

Hailing from one of the premier sites in the Santa Lucia Highlands, planted in 1996, the 2022 Pinot Noir Garys' Vineyard is flat-out gorgeous. Beautifully rendered, it boasts generous fruit density, crystal-clear delineation of flavors and bracing structure. Fully destemmed, the 2022 finishes with a ton of persistence in its dark berry flavors, even darker cherry, black licorice and black sage. The 2022 leaves behind a fine web of powdery tannins, neatly wrapped up with a little bow on top, concentrated, effusive, and ready to rock. What a complete package. This may be the red wine of the vintage in the SLH. (Billy Norris, Vinous, August 2024)

Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir 2021

9/2024. Good overall flavor. Only a hint of cherry which is fine with me. The ALC 14.5 was a boost. It paired well with the Snow Eye Round Waygu at Hall’s Chophouse. — 20 days ago

Pike Road Vineyard

Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2022

Wines from Oregon are not easy to access in Australia so it was great to be offered this one from Prince Wine Store in Melbourne. Mid crimson - transparent in parts. Spiced black and red cherries. A lolly, confectionery jujube like note. Pike Road is the sister winery to Elk Cove. Lovely drinking right now - not for the cellar. We used to buy Oregon Wines when our son was at the University of Oregon in 2007-2008, but we have pretty much run out. Great to revisit Oregon Pinot. — 19 days ago

On The Road Grenache 2020

So freaking good, huuuugggee! It’s so amazingly different from tribute to Grace which I’ve been drinking lately, but I love them both in each way. But only want to drink this one a few times a year. So much fruit, cigar box, cherry, apple jam, herbs, lavender, a bit of flowers, meat, so rich. — 15 days ago

Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir 2022

Delectable Wine
9.2

Medium in body, fresh and driven, the 2022 Pinot Noir (Santa Lucia Highlands) is pretty forward in its red-fruited profile, but it also possesses a core of stern, rocky minerality. An enticing air of highlands herbs and sweet lavender adds further intrigue. Juicy, sweet raspberry, clove and a kick of toasty French oak sweetness make the 2022 an inviting choice for drinking over the next several years. (Billy Norris, Vinous, August 2024)
