Paired with a similarly aged Cote Rotie and poured in a blind tasting at my home to a group of interested wine drinkers.
This showed a more generous, fleshy expression of the grape as expected and still had a finely chiseled structure of finely textured tannins that echo a dryness of the vineyard's limestone soils.
Very good new world Syrah. — 4 years ago

Purchased during September 2022 visit to the winery. Wine is produced from Estate Carneros fruit. Dried cherry, raspberry and red plum fruit, with cinnamon spice, carbon, minerality and an effervescent note. Spice and fruit driven with nice backbone of acidity. — 4 years ago
Estate grown red blend in Wisconsin. Blackberry and cherry on the palate. Good match with spaghetti with sauce from home grown tomatoes. August 2021. — 5 years ago

Purchased wine at winery during visit to Sancerre in 2013. Grown on the slopes of Chavignol on Kimmeridgian limestone soil. Gold color. Round and floral on the nose. Grapefruit, lime, white peach fruit with a touch of honey and an herbal note. Bracing acidity with chalky minerality. Wine has aged well and drank very well over several days. — 6 years ago
Enjoyed this in the tasting room at the vineyard. I found it unique for the region and bought a bottle to take home. — 7 years ago
Always a delicious treat. Excellent pairing with a Snake River Farms Wagyu Strip. Deep fruits, balanced, elegant finish. — 8 months ago

Purchased during visit to winery in September 2022. Red fruit and roses on the nose. Rich, fruit forward wine with raspberry, dried cherry, earth, spice, saline and an effervescent note. Nice wine, but spice on the finish is a touch overpowering. — 4 years ago
Pardon the water damaged label. Aromas of pepper, spice and fresh garden herbs. Almost like the garrigue aromas you get from a Southern Rhone red. Medium weight palate but M+ Intensity. Even though Hawkes Bay is home to probably New Zealand’s best Cabernets like Te Mata Coleraine it also produces excellent cool climate Syrah like this one. Not so special with Pinot Noir here which is grown by a few optimistic producers. Had another bottle on 7th February 2024 with similar notes. I love the pepper but it does need more mid palate fruit. I have a couple of bottles left. I can’t see the need for extended cellaring and will probably drink these in the next 12 to 18 months. Had another bottle on 24th November 2024 with similar tasting notes. Enjoy the pepper. — 4 years ago
This may have been one of the best wines I’ve ever had. Perfect for a social distance night on the deck, 12 feet from our best friends. Served with a fabulous rigatoni with home made sauce. Perfect. — 6 years ago
Not too hard not sweet very smooth — 6 years ago
We had left this bottle in a closet for 18 months, and when we found it and uncorked it, we discovered that the Sonoma influence had grown. The blackberry and cherry flavors had deepened, along with greater acidity. It is drinking beautifully, especially with sharp cheese. — 7 years ago
Drank at home with Chuck - he will try er got it at wine styles or Costco — 9 months ago

This wine is marketed as Willamette Valley Estate Grown Pinot Noir, not “Incline.” Blend from Estate vineyards in Dundee Hills (Iron Filbert Vineyard) and Yamhill-Carlton (Quartz Acorn Vineyard) AVAs. Roses and bright red fruit on the nose. Cherry, cranberry and plum fruit, with graphite, violets and spice. Great QPR. — 4 years ago
Just ordered in a restaurant. The “King of Chardonnay” Mike Grgich farms w/o pesticides and certified organic. Aged 10 months, no MLF. Medium lemon color with aromas of stone & citrus fruits. On the palate flavors of apple, apricot, peach & lemon citrus flavors, with honeysuckle, vanilla & toasty oak notes. Nice balance with acidity on long finish with a tangy mineral ending. Not your typical CA Chard, very nice! Worth the price! — 5 years ago
Very nice Merlot. Less fruit forward just the way I like. Had this for Heather 36th Bday dinner at home. Great time with family. Was part of Scott's monthly wine club. — 5 years ago
Been breaking out some fun wines deep from the cellar to keep spirits HIGH during the stay at home Cali mandate. Day 10 is no exception......time for dinosaur steaks and a 2009 Bryant Family!!
Decanted 1 hour. An arresting deep dark garnet color(lots of cloudy sediment). On the nose: caught me completely off guard with stewed meat, black olives, band aids, some licorice, red berries, and floral. Taste: Wow, this is singing "Stairway to Heaven " ....no garage band version, this is Led Zeppelin 1970s!! Dark cherries, chocolate, espresso, tobacco.
A Mark Aubert beauty with fine, silky tannins coating the mouth. An elegant, rich, soft wine with a long toffee/blueberry finish — 6 years ago

Pale lemon in colour. From Campania arguably the home of Fiano not forgetting it is also grown in Sicily. Restrained aromas of pear, honeysuckle and apple. Those descriptors coming through on the medium bodied palate finishing dry with stacks of salinity. Refreshing and moreish. Had my last bottle 34 weeks later on 28th June 2026. Lime, acacia and thyme aromas. On the medium bodied palate appley flavours. From its spiritual home of Campania. A good winter white. — 8 months ago
