Quite deep ruby , with a wide garnet rim, quite young looking. Dried herbs , smoked meat , red cherry, violets , liquorice and antique furniture polish notes . On the palate quite round and rich, sweet red fruits , with that herbal tinge , those liquorice and charcuterie notes also evident . This in fact still shows well a day later , still quite full and rich , with red plum and black cherry notes . Quite good acidity , with quite gritty tannins, balanced alcohol . Decent length . This is very good now though no rush , mature but will continue to show well for a while longer , from now over the next 5 years . Another T Wright Wine choice … see my De Fieuzal 1994 note — 10 months ago
Great with steak and friends — 8 years ago
Some acid, nicely earthy, good fruit with a little oak. Medium bodied and balanced. Solid but not amazing. Would revisit given the price point. This was ready to drink. — 4 months ago
Light structure but medium body that develops as it warms slightly. Delicate yet flavorful in its subtlety. — a year ago

Vintage 2014 | This Pessac Leognan delivers. Ten years old the colour is brownish. In smell lovely complexity: spices, liquorice, flint, warmth. Impressions of plums and tobacco. Surprising velvety taste, clearly a point! | paired with Cantonese beef and mango. — 2 months ago
