I think this is the best release of this wine I’ve had. LC22. It’s excellent tonight layered with ripe orchard fruit, gun smoke, salted hazelnuts and exotic spices. An oldie and a goodie direct from my cellar. Pop and pour. Color is still bright ruby/brick, no browning. Nose: tobacco, cedar, garden shed. Palate: acid +, body 0, T +, some graphite and echo of ivy leaf in the finish. Showing well, but also a fine old claret, even if still slightly rough edged. — 7 months ago

2019 vintage. 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot. Glad to see this quality, given the disappointing 2015. Blackberries, strawberries, cedar wood and tobacco. Juicy, bright fruit in a structure of ripe tannin. Medium-bodied, with elegance and complexity, and nice, mineral length. Very good value. Abv. 13,5%. — 8 months ago
