La Fleur D'arthus

Château La Fleur-Pétrus

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend

We found the wine is no longer what it used to be. Very modern vinification and upbringing, lots of new wood, and likely a malolactic in barrel. Well done but nothing like in the Jean-Claude Berrouet days. — 11 days ago

Fleur de Passion à Cramant Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne 2008

The extraordinarily high acid levels have started to mellow and this wine is now starting to show its potential. Outstanding! — 4 months ago

Château Mourgues du Gres

Fleur d'Eglantine Costières-de-Nîmes Rosé 2023

The description: Fleur d’Eglantine gets its name from its acidulous freshness and its luminous colour, reminiscent of the petals of the wild roses that surround our vinyards. It’s a delicate rosé, airy and acidic, which unites floral aromas and crunchy red berries. Grape Grenache mixed with Mourvèdre and a dash of Syrah

The opinion: Brilliant value for this depth of flavour. I am off to buy a case of….no more said!

Château Fleur Cardinale

Grand Cru Classé Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

2016 vintage. Last tasted 11.21.21 (9.3), Body has thinned out from medium heavy/heavy body to medium body along with one of the best BDX noses I've ever scented still performing as such. The 11.21.21 notes still holding up. Sprinkle a little corn meal into that nose and we are golden. Wine is currently in a state of transition but still so giving. Ridiculous value BDX. Need to pick up another 4-5 bottles. This is going to be a fascinating journey. 02.17.25. — 2 months ago

Fleur de Pedesclaux

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

2015 vintage. With 74% Merlot (and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 6% Cabernet Franc), this is a world of difference compared to the 2022 ( 49% Merlot, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot) tasted alongside. We switch from red fruit in the fully mature 2015, to the more black fruit personality of the 2022. While the 2015 is an attractive wine in a lighter style, it is no match for the more powerful and profound 2022,reflecting the impressive progress made here year after year since the Lorenzetti family took over. — 4 months ago

Château Fleur de Lisse

Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2020

2020 vintage. An estate on the rise. Tasted their other 2 Saint-Emilions, and Fleur de Lisse is like the best of both worlds, combining the flowery elegance of Fontfleuri with the power of the more classic Etampe. — 21 days ago

From magnum. Glass filling nose. Creamy mocha with still a good and fresh fruit profile. Finish a bit short. — 3 months ago

Nice - love magnums, especially for wines with modest origin. It creates surprises.

Mags also really slow down pace of ageing I think. This one felt fresher than one could expect from a ‘12 Lalande.
