Platt Vineyard Pinot Noir 2013

Drinking the 2018 in 2025. Deep rich color. Long lasting legs. Full nose, with oak, ripe fruit and an earthy finish. Bold full flavors. Ripe fruit flavors, with well balanced tannins. Smooth finish, slightly drying. — 17 hours ago

Domaine Gramenon

La Sagesse Côtes du Rhône Grenache 2019

N: peppery raspberry sauce with lots of garrigue and a few wild flowers.
P: starts out with ripe, rich fruit notes balanced by savory herbs, with pencil lead and stones on the finish.
Had with kibbeh and mezze spread. The allspice in the kibbeh brought out attractive spice notes in the wine, and vice versa. Similarly spoke the paprika on the hummus.

I really like this cdr, Greg liked it less.

Thymiopoulos Vineyards

Naoussa Xinomavro 2020

Whoa Nelly that’s a nose! Potent as being nosed out of sleep by my cat in the morning (ps I lied and told him that Xinomavro the grape was named after him, not vice versa). Full of dark red cherry, pepper, herbs (the wine not my cat, he’s just full of Fancy Feast) the palate echos the nose bringing in an amaro-esque element. I want more! — 2 years ago
