Château Larose-Trintaudon

Cru Bourgeois Superieur Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

Left Bank Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) and Merlot (40%). Dark ruby color. Aromas of black fruits, forest floor and menthol. Flavors of black berry/currants with hints of dark chocolate and roasted nuts. Long and smooth finish. Intense but well balanced tannins and acidity. Medium-plus body and nice freshness. Thanks for the bottle, Kase. — 2 months ago

Château Taffard de Blaignan

Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

2018 vintage. Supposedly from the team that brings you Château Gruaud-Larose from St. Julien. Correspondingly lean with light-medium body. Not flashy in any aspect (which validates the G-L lineage) but exceedingly well made for the resto price of $18. Nice effort. 7.17.24. — 5 months ago

Côtes du Rhône Viognier 2021

Subtle complexity. A big bold white wine with minerality and slight notes of tropical fruits. Enjoyed this in Jules Verne restaurant in the Eiffel Tower — 6 months ago

I haven’t had a Chateau Grillet since the 1983 vintage, procured a few bottles on a visit in 1985 — cool property, better story!

Château Larose Perganson

Cru Bourgeois Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

Bordeaux red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (56%) and Merlot (44%). Dark ruby color with purple highlights. Ripe red fruit aromas with distinct purple flower notes. The palate is more black fruit (blackberry and black currant) focused with hints of black tea, baking spices, wet stones and dried mint. Touch of saline on the finish. Medium bodied and crisp acidity. Well balanced and harmonious. Thanks for opening this one, Keith S! — 4 months ago
