Fascinating to have a wine older than me. Smell was raisins - reminded me of amarone — 3 months ago
Extremely aromatic on the baked blueberries, enticing aromas and taste of raisins. Rounded and well-balanced. Elevated acidity and texture. Smooth but spicy from entry to end. Opens beautifully after 30-45mins after cooking. — 2 years ago
First take: it’s a bit muddled and flabby….lacking crisp structure. It is young so I will test on day two. Day 2.5: impressively, air has brought this one to life! Clarity and articulation are now present. The character profile is still medium+ weighted fresh red/black cherry with a delicate green herby frame. What improved - the focus and clarity of the acidity. It broadened, thus mouthfeel improved. — 4 years ago

Enjoyed a 2013, amazing oaky punch with cherry and tabacco notes. Perfect for a good tipple with friends and family, or with a decent meal. Enjoyed at Laloda in Chianti, Italy. — 2 months ago

Ruby red in color with some bricking, red berries on the nose with earthiness and oak, vanilla and oak on the pallet with noticeable tannins and medium acidity, medium finish. — 5 years ago
Tannic in character but ultimately quaffable, drank recently with my Penne Rigate al Ragú alla Bolognese (my own concoction) only £5.29 from Lidl just down the road from me. — a month ago
Castello Banfi- Poggio al Mura 2020- deep ruby coloration some transparency, dark cherry on the nose with leather, toasted oak, vanilla, and forest floor. On the palate, Cherry, vanilla, oak, amarena and toasted oak in the very long finish. — 3 months ago
Excellent! Rounded, red fruits, beautiful — 2 years ago
Nose is so sexy. Sexy cherries and roses. Pink and red roses hand crushed and jammed in your face. As it opens more dusty roses
Palate is sexy cherries. Pink rose internal aromatics. So juicy. A bit bitter. So good.

Lyle Fass

Founder Fass Selections
Stunning, vividly three-dimensional nose of red cherry, tar, roses, sweet spice, desiccated leaves and orange rind, with extraordinary complexity and purity right out of the gates. The palate is juicy, complete and deeply terroir-driven, with explosive tiny-berry fruit intensity, painful concentration, unbelievable finesse, velvety sweet tannins and tremendous length. Still needs around 30 minutes to fully knit together, but the depth, clarity and architecture are already remarkable. — 12 days ago
