#AgedWineTuesday
Dark ruby in color with a short brick rim.
Beautiful nose of red and black fruits with wood, tobacco, dried meat, herbs, light oak, spices, herbs, earth and mushrooms.
Medium bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with plums, currants, cooked cherries, spices, bitter herbs, earth, light wood, mushrooms and black pepper.
Long finish with round tannins and cherries.
Now, THIS is a very unique wine from Barbaresco. Spent 20 years of aging. Nicely balanced and elegant. Tangy and complex.
Drinking beautifully now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 10 years. Still has more oomph in it, with good acidity. Would be interesting to revisit it in 5 years.
Rich, yet elegant. Soft and smooth. A gorgeous and very interesting aged Barbaresco. Smoky and spicy with good structure.
A good quality wine, and good by itself as a sipping wine.
100% Nebbiolo grapes were aged in oak and concrete vats for 20 years. Bottled in 2018.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
