Millésime Grand Cru Brut Blanc de Blancs Chardonnay Champagne 2006

Hanging with Charlie. This was such a delight while we waited for the Pegaü to open up a bit. This started off with marzipan and green apples but after about an hour of air (and warming up a bit), it started to show toasted brioche. So much life and so much verve! What a treat! Thanks @Charles Ludwig — 6 years ago

Dragon's Tooth Red Bordeaux Blend

This is smoother than the skin rolls on my newborn son. It makes me feel like a “sophisto” at the corova milk bar. All we are missing is a little of the old “Ludwig Van” — 6 years ago

Unfiltriert Spätburgunder 2018

This wine brought us back to sitting in the lounge of the Schloss in Lieser Germany, along the Mosel, where we first tasted this it. Just like then, we couldn’t put our glass down. Who would have thought that this region known for their rieslings, would have such a robust Pinot noir. This 2018 Pinot noir was incredible - great body, and finish. — 3 years ago

Domaine Hubert Lignier

Les Baudes Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2012

An intermezzo of sorts. I was spoiled with a small pour of this before we got into the Pegaü which was in desperate need of air. This was beguiling. Aromas of plums and teriyaki. Delicious red fruits on the palate. Quite a bit of grip. This is now my third Hubert Lignier experience and I think it’s safe to say that I’ve been positively hooked. This is the kind on Burgundy I want in my life. Sadly, my bank account won’t likely survive. Huge thanks to @Charles Ludwig for this treat. — 6 years ago
