Amazing gift from Luke! SS with Mack in tow — 4 years ago
This beautiful floral wine tastes Luke orange blossoms mixed with cherries & boysenberries. I love the Bordeaux blend as it finishes with a little caramel. — 6 years ago
Luke says hints of plum, cocoa powder, black berry, raspberry and smoke — 8 years ago
Luke made the switch to Merlot as the driver for the signature estate blend in ‘13. I was a little skeptical, but this really sang with power and a touch of youthful energy that VA Merlot is known for (me thinks). I will be sourcing another bottle to lay down :) — 8 years ago
Quite delightful. A little bit of the Rhône in Mendocino. Fresh and lively on the nose with notes of grapefruit and lemons predominantly. A fun blend of Roussanne, Marsanne, and a dash of Viognier from Mendocino County. Fruity and vibrant with zippy acidity and real character. Nice length on the finish leaves you wanting another glass. Really nice.

Luke: "Obi Wan, what of the '01 Dujac CdR? Obi Wan: Do not open for 10 more years at least." Luke: "Why, Obi Wan?" Luke: "You’re going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view.” This means that this wine is going to rock... 15 years from now!! — 8 years ago
Finally able to lock down reservations at Magdalena's. They have a unique set up in that they have a set menu that changes every week, and you are notified the week before if there are spots available...they sell out within 5mins! We were lucky to get on the list for their most recent "Supper Club" as they call it.
Based on the menu, we figured 1 white and 1 red was appropriate. After enjoying my favorite Sauv Blanc (the Addax SB), my buddy Luke (who is a big Pinot fan) brought this to expand our knowledge on pinots and see what Oregon has cooking. At pop and pour, this was delicious. Lots of cherries, leather and dates on the nose. The taste was very different than the aromatics. More leather, Bing cherry, cedar and a touch of rhubarb. A very "dusty" Pinot. — 9 years ago
Cherry, raspberry preserves, smoke, currant, licorice and oak. Full-bodied and soft tannins. — 3 years ago
Legit. Fleshy but not overwhelming with vibrant acidity. Neutral oak. Great unique take on chardonnay. This is perfect for what I remember about summer days in Australia. — 6 years ago
Very solid Oregon Pinot with more full bodied taste to toast Luke in SC for first job — 7 years ago
Beautiful and smooth. Nice with clementines. “Like a Dornish Red” -Luke — 8 years ago
Luke and I love it — 8 years ago
Trying the 15 vintage. Exciting to see it just as good as the 14. Elegant fruit, subtle hints of vanilla and cassis. And second day holds up great - silky and smooth. Rating affirmed 2/17/18 - chose this for the day my detox ends. Revisiting 9/16/18 - rating affirmed, and actually trending higher. Just a beautiful wine all around. — 9 years ago
