Subtle pleasant fizz bit of tannin — 2 months ago
Deep ruby rose color, with violet hints over a medium body. Nose is rich, with rose petal, orange peel, peppery hints and maybe some baked rhubarb or berry jam with hints of pine and wet wood. The palate is vanilla, rose, raspberry compote, and beautifully integrated tannin that grip but don’t dry, with big meaty, almost jerky like notes that linger for a long time, with a taste of bbq sauce on the finish. — 4 months ago
Tuscan red blend from Costco. Had it alongside Friendsgiving. Phil and I both liked it. — a month ago
Pours a copper-gold color that will immediately make you wonder if this has been oxidized, but apparently that's the style. Like their reds, they seem to turn everything up to 11 in Montefalco.
After decanting in the glass, aromas of toffee, white flowers, almonds, bitter oranges, and minerals. Very funky and interesting, but not something I'd hand innocent wine drinkers. — 2 months ago

The nose is evocative of autumn on multiple sensory levels, with aromas of fennel fronds, chamomile tea, almonds, and tangerine that lead into a full but delicately rendered palate. Vitorchiano’s volcanic soils come through with a somber smoke-iron interplay, and glowing acidity lets the savory flavors coat the mouth, yet the overall impression is one of freshness and drinkability. — 20 days ago
