Not sure if Draper is still making these wines, but Ridge has been so consistent & solid over the years... and this affordable kitchen sink blend is delicious: dark & rich, big extraction here w/mouth coating tannins and gobs of brambly red & black berry fruit. Def some oak in this bad boy, hi ABV as well. Bit unruly right now - probably needs a nap for a few years. — 4 years ago
Big, floral on the nose, good wine to lay down, good mouth feel and fruit balance with acidic and tannin, finish of tobacco and smoky flavor. Good, but we can find a good for much less per bottle — 4 years ago
Like Sade’s “Smooth Operator” - this Bordeaux blend brings that best of Bordeaux red but toned down a bit on the nose and mouth feel. Not as strong as big red French can be - but a good measure of a good glass of wine that is incredibly smooth. Perfect weekday glass with dinner! — 3 years ago
Big fruit, good acid, full mouth feel - not weak or thin. Fan! — 4 years ago
Taken to Canoe House at the Mauna Lani on the Big Island. Awesome aged Raveneau nose. Rich and heavy in the mouth. Notes of citrus, apricot, sea shells, white clay and tan spice. In the zone. Shared a glass with our server/somm. When the bill came, “we have a strict corkage policy but it’s waived when it’s Raveneau “. Ha! — 2 years ago
And now for something completely different. Tasted blind. Deep, dark and opaque. Herbal nose. Red fruit, tobacco leaf, menthol, some old cedar planks, some stone and some moist dark soil. Luscious in the mouth. Long finish, lingers forever. In a perfect spot. I guessed 61 Mouton. So regal, with big shoulders. Bottles like this have many more years of special delivery. Top top old Bordeaux... Thanks Stan! — 4 years ago
Now is powerful, deep red, big nose, extraordinary in mouth, leather, licorice, beautiful... — 4 years ago

Wonderful dank cherries in abundance, white pepper(yep, Lyle), autumn leaves.
Nice big mouth filling fruit, cranberry, raspberry, very tactile. A bit chewy.
Much of Bourgogne would be jealous.
Delicious.
