Tempranillo Eola-Amity-Hills. Inky purple red, high pigment extraction. Lots of skin tannins on this so decant at least a hour. Butter, white floral and red fruit aromas, black currant, strawberry and dark cherry flavors. Soft once the tannins polymerize, slightly tart, black pepper like spritz on the finish from chewy skin tannins, mostly. Slightly buttery nose with graphite, raspberry and a hint of rotten eggs, which is fairly common in fermenting Gamay. Not off putting but reassuring that it’s the genuine stuff to my inclinations. Raspberry and red fruit (strawberry, some cherry) flavors, slightly creamy, nice lingering flavors. Decent acid but slight chewy grape skin astringency in the finish. Well envisioned and crafted in a rustic style. I’d buy a half case for an everyday red to enjoy. Great value — 2 years ago

Whoa, Nelly. Pedro Jimenez, grown under flor, an “orange wine”….. so, essentially a sherry still wine. It’s pretty in your face, explosive in tangerine & umami notes. It’s delicious when on the colder side. I could see it paring well with spicy Schezuan or something fatty, like a burger. — 9 months ago

Whoa Nelly that’s a nose! Potent as being nosed out of sleep by my cat in the morning (ps I lied and told him that Xinomavro the grape was named after him, not vice versa).
