Very tasty with a bit of dark chocolate — a month ago
I like this wine. It’s Merlot, with plenty of plum, blueberry, and black currant. It’s rich but not heavy. There’s enough tannin and acid to give it structure, which balances the new world fruit profile. Excellent balance, especially for the price point. — 5 months ago
See previous note from January 2023. Pepper Liquorice and Raspberry. Savoury and full bodied on the palate. Such density despite the drinking window describing this as “Old”. 2011 to 2028. I see this as having many years to go. Riper having blackberry and not as much pepper as you would expect because of this warmer vintage. The vineyards were originally planted in 1964, establishing this as one of Australia’s leaders in cool climate Shiraz. It has always been one of my favourite Australian Reds. Best Shiraz and Wine of the Year for 2011 as voted by the Good Wine Guide. 98 points from Nick Stock. — a year ago

Very opaque and dark. Feels like a good blend of deep and complex but not overly tanniny — 2 years ago

Light straw color. Aromas of peaches, freshly baked bread, white flowers and tropical fruits. Very pleasant tropical fruit medley on the palate as well along with hints of apple, lemon, brioche and spiced nuts. Interesting salty/mineral note on the finish. Bright and acid driven. Creamy mouthfeel and smooth texture but (according to the winemaker) it does not come from oak aging. (Lees contact). Great value! — 21 days ago
