Fun wine, extended skin contact - looks like a Rose and tasted like one too: mix between tart red fruit & savory notes, some potpourri, fairly exotic. Palate was bit more austere, open canvas for variety of light fare. We had huge salad w/smoked salmon and it was fantastic. Balanced and dry finish, go find some Georgian wine! — 7 months ago

Star bright straw gold. Abundant nose of honeysuckle and lime. Tingly medium plus acidity leads the light palate which confirms the nose and adds a stern backbone of chalky mineral. A bit racy for sipping on its own, but a good accomplishment to medium spring and summer dishes. Much more approachable on the second day. Drink now. — a year ago

Been a big fan of Nine Suns for years. This was first bottle of Realm’s Houyi vineyard I’ve tried from my cellar. I believe ‘13 was Realm’s first year with Houyi fruit. The nose is incredible. With an hour decant, the wine is silky and seductive. The fruit is perfectly matched by the tannins and acidity. Everything working together perfectly. The fruit is bold and black, lovely minerality. Just an incredible mouthfeel. Nice finish. Next time I have this ‘13 I’ll have to have it side by side with a Nine Suns ‘13. This is drinking fantastic right now. — a year ago
