A wonderful expression of Garnacha from the master! Deep red in color with red fruit throughout. — 2 months ago
Always fun to explore an indigenous varietal from Spain - especially when Alvaro Palacios is involved. I found this Mencia wine to be medium bodied with good acidity and structured tannins that were present in this young wine but not obnoxiously so. The fruit is darker dried red fruit that proved to be a good compliment with grilled shishito peppers. It was so nice to dive into a new aspect of Spain’s wine history. — an hour ago
Intense red fruit and color for a wine that was immediately approachable. Structured and balanced for cellaring. Delicious with lunch! — 2 months ago

Vintage 2021 | Either the wine is closed, either the smell is introverted. Berries, chocolate, cedar. Obviously still tannins, but good balance and nice bitters. Good example of old vines wine. — 3 days ago
