Tenuta delle Terre Nere

Etna Bianco Carricante Blend 2023

Blend of blend of 60% Carricante, 25% Catarratto, 10% Grecanico and 5% Minnella, aged in French oak for 10 months. Pale lemon with aromas of stone and citrus fruits adding honeysuckle blossom. On the palate flavors of apple, apricot and lemon citrus with creamy vanilla wrapped in generous acidity, long finish ending with wet stone minerality. Nice! — 2 days ago

Sicilia Nero d'Avola 2022

Red fruit, young, fair amount minerality at least initially, interesting wine for the price. The tannins mellowed nicely after it had some time to breath. — 15 days ago

Super interesting. Not as acidic and complex. Beautiful on the nose. Straddling between orange and white. — 19 days ago

Great example of a super approachable ER. This is the wine that I typically introduce people to who haven’t yet had an ER. — 3 months ago

Pietra Marina Etna Bianco Superiore Carricante 2015

French onion chicken pairing and some went into the dish. This bottle was a touch off from first opening. Missing some of the bright fruit flavors I expected based on past ‘15 and ‘16 and ‘17 bottles. — a month ago
