Mid weight, lovely layers of subtle fruit and rocks. Very structured. — 3 years ago
A great find! Dark Ruby color, no hints of bricking. Nice red fruits, good acid, a bit of mushroom/forest floor. — a year ago
Salvia, dusty, black cherry. Lifted, fine, persistent minerality. Estate is situated just above Pertimali, and the young proprietors work for Sassetti. Pure class, as you’d imagine in such a situation. Fantastic! #cerbaia #rossodimontalcino #sangiovesegrosso — 7 years ago
We had the 2010 riserva on 2/8/25. A fabulous Brunello. All of the expected good scents and flavors: black cherry, raspberry, leather and tobacco. Well balanced; tannins smoothed out. Good finish. — 6 months ago
So good for the money. Good tannin, darker fruit. — 7 years ago
Hell yes. Delicate, balanced big refreshing bubbles for summer. This Italian sparkler from the Veneto is comes from master Barolo-maker Livio Sassetti as part of his war against over-sulfured Italian bubbles. Pink pomegranate, candied tangerine peel and guava notes with a hint of plum - from the Merlot, no doubt. Elegant, zesty and flamboyant with an in-your-face creamy finish. Extra-dry spumante, like extra-dry Champagne, is in the range we call "off-dry" in absolute terms. For reference, wine that is still in the absolute dry category can have up to 9 grams of residual sugar; this wine has 12; cocacola clocks in at 110. — 8 years ago

Just double decanted a few minutes ago. Mature color with lots of rusty edges. Nice nose, lots of stuff, terracotta tiles, iodine, mahogany furniture, still some nice plummy fruit. Lots of life on the palate. Fruit, earth, leather flavors. Vigorous but fine grained tannins, nice acidity. On the leaner side but nice length. Really fine effort in a tough year. — 11 days ago
