My first Falanghina and I absolutely adore this bottle.
Aromatic nose of peach, pineapple, start fruits, fresh herbs, and orange blossom. Elegant medium body with lovely round acidity and smooth texture. The palate is clean, fresh with mineral undertone yet has the feel of richness. Very impressive.

More candied stone fruit than green fruit surprising from steel chard. Chugging! — 4 years ago

I found this wine a real treat...served best below cellar temp even coming from a cooler of ice would be fine. I dig the depth of flavors that you get from steel and just a touch of oak. Bright and fresh with a laser streak of acid. If you are looking for new world SB, don’t look here. I do find it be a good balance of new and old world. — 6 years ago
May be time for me to explore the Dinger Lakes, as I enjoyed this so much. Super high acid on this, tart and vaguely tropical, right and dry and puckering even. But crisp, v light, drinkable and refreshing. Replace your Sauv Blanc with this on a hot day. — 7 years ago
A treat to have 2 of Australia’s leading whites as in the Art Series Chardonnay and now the Lovedale Semillon both from 2011. Ironically 2011 was an awful vintage in nearly all of Australia except for Margaret River and the Hunter Valley. This highly awarded old Semillon had aromas of Lanolin, buttered toast with wet straw. All the descriptors of quality aged Semillon. A sweetish palate with a soapy texture. Perfectly balanced with acid diminishing. You can see how UK MWs would swear in the earlier days that these Semillons had been put to wood. They know now that they only ever see stainless steel. — 4 years ago
Checking in… the first of these. Super tight and very young. Bright acidity. Steel, stone. Punchy fruit but all wrapped up and right now. Will be spectacular in a few years. All promise! — 4 years ago
This medium-dry, tannic, not-too-acidic Sav Blanc was aged in steel. Nose of honeysuckle, pear, lychee; flavors feature more tart fruit than citrus. — 5 years ago
pale yellow, watery rim; Golden Delicious apple, lemon zest, white flowers; orchard fruit, slight chalkiness; medium body, bright acidity, 14.3% ABV; Foley’s annual stainless steel bottling offers lovely fruit in a fresh, bright style not masked by barrique or excessive bâtonnage; $30 — 6 years ago
Really fresh, yeasty, with steel, lemons and good definition. A lot of promise. Young — 7 years ago
(raised in stainless steel tanks and made with no malo) Limpid straw-yellow. Assertive, mineral-accented orchard fruit, melon and fennel aromas are sharpened by hints of ginger and lemon zest. Intense pear skin, Meyer lemon and violet pastille flavors show a suave blend of richness and delicacy thanks to a spine of juicy acidity. Closes minerally, taut and impressively long, leaving a powerful floral note behind. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, February 2018) — 8 years ago
Young and not so expensive, delicious for a Barolo at this price ($38). Lots of roses, good acidity in the tar, nice tannins, steel, dark cherry, light leather, touch of black pepper, dirt next to a mushroom. A touch lighter than typical Barolo. From Main Street Wine and Gourmet, Orleans. 12/31/2024 Happy New Year! — a year ago
Deep enticing golden color with aromas of stone and tropical fruits and nutty spice, aged for 12 months in steel tanks. On the palate of this Verdicchio, flavors of apple, pineapple and pear with floral citrus notes. Medium+ finish ending with toasty nutty character. Nice value! — 4 years ago
Aromas of lemon myrtle developing toasty notes. The palate showing that waxy lanolin texture you see in aged Hunter Valley Semillon - they put on palate weight as they age. Still retaining that zippy citric acid. Pros in the UK often swore that these aged Semillons saw oak maturation but the reality is that only stainless steel is involved. This is the 2nd of 8 in my cellar. I believe that good Hunter Valley Semillon should only be approached after 10 years. This will age until the late 2020s. Had another bottle 94 weeks later on 6 January 2024. Still very lemony with a long life to go. Exceptional Semillon. — 4 years ago
Pale lemon with aromas of stone and tropical fruits. Made from 40-year old vines, aged in 100% stainless steel. On the palate flavors of bright lemon citrus with crisp apple and peach notes. This medium-body wine has crisp acidity, good balance and nice mouthfeel, smooth long finish ending with creamy mineral texture. Very Nice! — 5 years ago
This is really classy. Restrained but powerful and clear. A hint of lanolin, lemon oil, steel, oyster shells. A soft plasticine like thing. This is lucid, focussed and gorgeous. — 6 years ago
All on stainless steel, nice acidity/minerality. — 7 years ago

Wonderful green apples and citrus with only a very slight hint of butter. Love this Chard! — 3 months ago
