First, let’s start with the fact that it’s 36 years old! The initial sip said it was possibly over the hill. But after about two hours of aeration, it slowly mellowed out quite nicely. Still quite drinkable. Pretty impressive from this venerated label. — 12 days ago

The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc Black Label is a well-judged style. It is nicely textured with decent substance through its bright, firm core. Attractive gooseberry, elderflower and passion fruit flavors combine well. Five months on lees rounds out its edges and lends flesh to the light-bodied palate. $16.00 (Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, May 2024) — a month ago
Very lovely. Not know if it's the tropical weather but it somehow kept changing taste. — 2 months ago

Little comparative tasting between the 17’ and 12’ vintages:
2017- deep ruby color. Aromas of blackberry, raspberry, flint and cedar. Youthful wine, loads of black fruit on the palate, spice and vanilla notes.
2012- deep ruby with garnet rim. Aromas of blackberry and blueberry. Black currant and leather and oak finish. Solid.
