A mid cherry red in colour. Aromatics of red fruits, menthol and touches of tar and roses. Light to medium bodied on the palate - surprising for a Barolo with medium plus intensity. Different and interesting in a good vintage from an excellent producer. Next in a year. — 6 months ago
Extremely enjoyable, great substitute when you don’t want to pay 4x for the Barolo. Plenty of depth and intrigue here. Pleasure. — 9 months ago
No formal notes . This showed really well from the off . Nice ruby garnet colour with an aromatic nose of red fruits , porcini , rose notes . On the palate really elegant and wonderfully poised with lots of red fruits , porcini and saline , tar stained finish . Polished tannins and good freshness , really long finish. Showing well now though no rush, will probably continue at this high level for a further decade . — 5 months ago

Let’s see if we have better luck with this bottle. Brought the last bottle back to Astor and they assessed it and said that it was indeed corked.
Cranberries, raspberries, and red fruits, with a note of spindrift from a fresh ocean wave. The breeze of a redwood forest sways through.
Yes. Much better luck. The ever so slight undercurrent of carmelized dark cherries. Beautiful tannic structure. Crunchy and expanding on the palate. A bouncy wine with a bunch of character but also an understated power, boldness, and spice.
