Medium light straw . Wet slate and chalky on the nose , with white flowers , touch of gunpowder and a lychee note . On the plate more white fruits , white peach , touch of lychee and ripe apple, with a light smoky touch . Nicely rounded mouthfeel with balanced alcohol . Slightly saline finish , with good acidity . Ok length . Showing pretty young at the moment , this will be better in a couple of years and last well a further 5-8 — 5 months ago

2019. We wanted something easy for dinner since my flights in were delayed a bit, so take out sushi it is. Had a bottle of Garganega in the fridge that I bought on discount on a whim when I was back a few months ago, but thought a bottle of Riesling may be good too. Orange blossom and the slightest touch of residual sugar to balance out the razor sharp acidity (and balance out my spicy Thai food). This is a light wine but I can almost taste the slate soils and steep slopes.
