Vieilles Vignes Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Chardonnay 2022

Somm David T
9.2

Enjoyed a splash of another quality 2022.

Viscous. Lemon, lime, green apple, tropicals, kiwi, honeysuckle, light caramel, vanilla notes, beautiful soft chalkiness-limestone, volcanics, yellow and white flowers, excellent acidity with an elegant, balanced, round finish that lasts a full minute.

Les Beugnons Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay 2021

Needs a 30 minute decant.

Nose: so floral. White flowers.

Palate: so precise. Delicious but so elegant. Perfect lemon juice. Mineral.

Les Cortons Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Chardonnay 2017

Straw gold color. Aromas of white flowers, honey, oats and pie dough. Peach, cantaloupe and lemon on the palate with hints of toasted nuts and baking spice. Lovely creamy texture and a long lingering (and slightly funky) finish. Medium-light bodied. Crisp with well balanced acidity. — a year ago

A delightful, refreshing wine. Tasting lemon zest, honeydew, apricots, and raw cashews. Lovely bouquet and a satisfying finish. — 4 hours ago

Chablis Chardonnay 2022

First bottle of the basic 2022 Chablis. Between this and the Jean Dauvissat it’s hard to pick a go-to favorite. Delicious and an excellent value. — 4 months ago

I think @Daniel M note was accurate - this was the 2019 and it was a bit more honeyed & silky on palate - impressive expression of Chenin at reasonable price — 6 months ago

I'm glad you liked it ! It reminds me that I haven't had chenin in a while and will look for some to taste shortly 😁

Pommard Pinot Noir 2017

Nice Pinot Noir although already past its prime. Restrained cherry to start that is losing its punch, followed by earth and smooth tannins. A great value at $31.90. — 4 months ago
