Bought in London for me & Kristen but drinking alone in 4S-Tunis. V good esp for what I think was the price point! — 10 months ago
A traditional Portuguese (Dao) red blend made from nine different local varieties. Aromas of red and black berries, leather and earth. Red and black fruit also on the palate with additional notes of tobacco and wet gravel. Medium-plus body and finish with a hint of smoky oak. Nicely balanced. Thanks for bringing this one, Aaron B! — a month ago
Had this at chef Avillez’s Bairro in Lisbon’s Chiado neighborhood. First time trying a Dao DOC wine, and it was splendid. Medium bodied, dark fruit and peppery. A nice contrast to the lighter vino verde’s I’ve had a lot of in Portugal. A bottle of this in front of me would be dangerous. — 9 months ago

Medium-full. Drinks nicely after airing out. Would enjoy again! — 2 months ago
Excellent. Fruity and not harsh at all — 6 months ago
Teeny bit of salt gives way to more savory notes with some tart fruit at the end. Not too oaky. Glou glou glou — 10 months ago
2011 vintage. 100% Touriga Nacional from 12 years old vines. Aged in French barriques for 18 months. Dark red with only a little evolution. Holding back in the nose with timid blackberries violet impressions. Powerful wine with a black fruit a bit monolithic, packed with ripe tannin, while remaining very fresh. Long spicy finish. Might deserve a higher score with more bottle age. — a year ago

I’m not too fond of the blandness in a lot of Portuguese reds, but this style plays to its strong suits: unabashed joy in a chilled red, with a fine grained berry texture & an inky dark cherry fruit palate. Nothing complicated but something a bit more elegant & long. — 10 days ago
