Barolo Nebbiolo 2019

Really enjoyed this with pot roast. Seems to be at the right age. Still young fruit, and tannins are integrated if yet still strong. — 14 days ago

Barbera d'Alba 2021

Pretty young but drinks a bit older. Leather and tobacco mixed with bright red cherries and finely chopped dried herbs. Medium body, medium tannins, medium finish. Dried fruit, tart cherry, and rhubarb. All around a really good drink! — a year ago

Asili Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2020

I opened this one too early. It still needs to get it all together. Very promising though — 2 months ago

Specialita Silvio Amaro Meletti Liquore

I love amaro and one of my favorites is Meletti. It’s a perfect after dinner drink. Caramel, cocoa, saffron, anise, sandalwood. Bellissimo! — 6 months ago

Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2019

A bit earthy with mushroom and dried cherries on the palate. The fruit comes through. Very nice with a sausage and mushroom pizza. January 2025. — 2 months ago

Rüncot Riserva Barolo Nebbiolo 2004

2004 Reserve: tobacco leaf, menthol, leather, star anise, and earth on the nose. Gorgeous assimilation of acidity and tannins. Almost unctuous really. Red fruits still feel young as wine opens with gorgeous structure and lengthy finish. At 20yrs old, really hitting its stride, so representative of Nebbiolo!! — 2 months ago

Pora Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2020

Had this for our anniversary! New fave. Can’t believe I ever thought I didn’t like Italian wine. Full body, tells a story. Slightly tannic. Blackberry, clay pot. Really really good value for a low splurge. — 4 months ago
