Beautiful and lush. So many layers…feels like this will still be strong in another 10 years — 9 days ago

Excellent. Got that northern Italian crispiness. Lots of fresh, bright acidity. — a month ago

Like most 10’s this was structured showing silky tannins surrounded by cherry, berry fruit, balsamic, spice, licorice, leather, rose petal & tobacco notes — 4 months ago

Bric del Baio Langhe Nebbiolo 2022

The lovely colour of this Nebbiolo, which is ever so slightly pink, adds a great sense of occasion. The nose suggests jam and something like currant. The bouquet includes the flavour of a sweet red apple. The finish is long, with pepper and plum. — 5 months ago

Vicenziana Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2021

Here is a confession! I try very hard to quit delectable and give it up: But then the wines come along with a personal connection. I visited Silvio in the early 2000‘s and we tried his 2003. Great wine in a hot vintage. His son was born 2003. Ever since i have a soft spot for his wines. # This one is quite spectacular. Drink now it is f….great or keep for 10 years +. Classic. Sold out at Kermit Lynch. I bought just one bottle. 😢 Enough said. — 14 days ago

Well I will stay. After these very nice comments. But seriously I like the reviews the folks post on this app they are much better than Vivino.. Reasons. 1.) I am getting up there in age and although this might sound silly drinking is just harder on your body. 2.) This makes it more difficult to sample through a lot of wines - spitting is not my thing! - unless i sample 10+ wines. 3.) I got pretty much into the habit of a glass every night. Not necessarily a good thing.

Rüncot Riserva Barolo Nebbiolo 2007

Savoury yet ripe cherry notes. Great depth of flavour coming out after 18 years. A medium bodied palate with medium plus intensity. A trace of that elusive iron amongst the earthy notes. A brilliant wine - thoroughly enjoyed it. A pity that we have to wait 15 to 20 years for Barolos like this to be at their peak, but it is worth the wait. Runcot is only bottled in the best years. This is one of the 1001 Wines and one of the best reds I’ve had this year. — 5 months ago

Tenute Silvio Nardi

Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2012

Sleek and smoothly textured, it displays an engaging, deep garnet appearance, with subtle aromatics and flavors of woodland herbs, dried fruit and nuts, and balsamic nuances. It has good structure and is well balanced with light acidity and gentle tannins at the long, mouth coating, tasty finish. Overall, an excellent wine from an excellent vintage. 2012 vintage.

Ginestra 'Vigna Casa Maté' Barolo Nebbiolo 2020

Sourced from 65 year old vines, sitting in rich clay soils. Medium Ruby with complex aromas of berry fruits, oak and fresh floral scents. On the palate dried tart cherry, tobacco, licorice, espresso and fresh herbs give this full-body wine grace and elegance. Soft fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit and earthy notes, well balanced, enjoyable now and has room to run over the next decade. Very Nice! — 7 months ago
