Deliciously well put together layers of berry - all wild and ripe - some slight Slate, white pepper, and sweetened dried cherry.
a rare find outside of the country, and a great wine indeed!

The bottle gets a 9.0, but I want to give it a 10.0 because the Skurnik portfolio, to an extent, has hit Mississippi! A big moment for the troubled relationship my state seems to have with good European wine. Nice more robust style Gamay. Not particularly my cup of tea, but it tastes damn good tonight. Now it is time to see more than bottom of the bin burgundies around! — 3 years ago

Chuggable lighter weight Mencia from terrific producers, one from the Rhone. High acid, almost effervescent mineral notes, with bright cherry, white pepper, herbs, and violets... fermented in cement, some whole cluster. Delicious!
