Spicy, leathery and smoked pecan elements. Sharp mineral earthy elements. Warm, peppercorn, but light. Bitter skins. Light tannins. Dry at first, then mellows out in the mouth to leave a light finish. — 9 years ago

Solid Cru Beaujolais. Medium garnet color. Bright aromas of ripe red and black cherries, earth and violets. Expressive flavors of red and black cherry/raspberry/currant fruit, tobacco and a pleasant hint of baking spices. A bit of black pepper and the presence of stemmy carbonic maceration on the very long and tingly finish. Quite juicy and crisp. Fruit forward, nicely structured and pretty well balanced. — 9 months ago

This stuff carries the richness and generosity of the vintage in a great way. Succulent pear, peach syrup and dashes of lemonzest, smoke and vanilla make this village-level wine an uncomplicated joy to drink.
