This wine needs a long time to breathe. Once it is out for 2 hours it reveals an astringent and tannic wine with cranberry and green pepper flavors that is a nice accompaniment to pizza. — a month ago

Didn’t like this one as much as the first I had. This was more fruit forward with a ton of funk and acidity. After a few hours it was better but given the high amount of acidity and fruit I’m not sure it’ll get better. Reminds me of a good carbonic Grenache or other rhone varietal. continuing in the vein of unusual Italian wines, we thoroughly enjoyed this 10 yr old Teroldego from Tuscany of all places: pouring a deep rich ruby, partially opaque with copious quantities of red fruit on the nose, some dark berried fruit as well, licorice, dirt & soil, peppery goodness some dried herbs and so on. complex and engaging, med bodied on palate, more fruit & spice, fleshy mild tannins and smooth finish - other than color, not showing its age. — 7 months ago
