Medium purple in color; raspberries, cherries, and dried herbs on the nose; low acidity; medium minus tannins; tastes like tart cherry jolly ranchers, raspberry sauce, and black tea with a long fruity finish. There may be a little residual sugar in this wine, but it's still very good. It's easy drinking for anyone that likes sour candies. It could use a little more acidity. 2009. Similar notes to the 2005. Less eucalyptus notes, more dried fruit. Inky color, iron minerality, cassis driven, pretty fruit, tannins still grippy. Tobacco and mint on the finish. Cork disintegrated while opening, but juice intact! 😁 — 22 days ago
