Okay. Again the same dilemma. If a wine does not meet expectation is it basically bad (for me)? 🤔 because in life everything is relative, right? Any thoughts on puzzling matter??The wine was well balanced, dark red fruit flavors, polished, smooth tannins, good intensity and concentration, but limited length and lacking any meaningful complexity… Eight year old left bank Bordeaux. A fourth or fifth growth winery, maybe not, can’t remember for sure. Do remember what I paid though, $120. Definitely too much for what we experienced this evening…. as to our expectations. — 21 days ago
Opened to use in ragu and was shocked how much we liked it. Someone must have brought it over (Jim?) — 2 months ago
One of my all-time favorites. Explosive on the tongue, fruit forward. A lingering aftertaste — 2 months ago
Best grocery outlet wine I’ve had! Would buy more. — 2 months ago
Seems to get better every year. — a month ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of three days. Consistently enjoyable throughout, but best after several hours of air and through Day 3. The wine pours, a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. No signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with expressive notes of ripe and dried cherry, plums, toasted coconut, fresh dill, cedar chest, and soft baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose however, the fruit is much more tart. The finish is long and tangy. A textbook example of old-school Rioja. Lovely. Drink now with patience and through 2036. — 2 months ago

An incredibly good Malbec. The color, the aroma, the consistency and the way it compliments food… I am impressed. Now I have to get some more Diseno. — 10 days ago
